Design of silica coated polyamide fabrics for thermo‐regulating textiles

Abstract Efficient thermal management is essential for the energy balance and comfort. In this context, design of textiles, which can modulate infrared radiation emitted by human body, attractive. These fabrics will manage microclimate between skin fabric. The proposed textile consists coating commercial woven based on polyamide 6–6 a dip‐coating process. incorporation fine spherical silica particles with submicron size within thermosensitive poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels. Neat reflect 12% radiation, while addition leads to reflection 24% in 5–15 μm wavelengths range. capacity coated be increased managing content particles, allows reaching 36% reflected radiation. Our findings open opportunities warming up thus reduce consumption heating close space.
